Great anime sure has its ways of coming back to us.

Running home from school, sitting down in front of the TV and watching your favorite anime shows is a prized memory for a lot of people. But eventually we all had to grow up and make our way into adulthood.

What if we told you that you could get at least a little bit of your childhood magic back? That's right, there are old-school anime out there that have just recently gotten a reboot and with it a second chance to win over your heart.

10. Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo

Since the mecha anime first aired from 1995-1996, Evangelion has become one of the most controversial and successful anime franchises in recent memory. So it makes sense for Hideaki Anno to produce a modern reboot of his series through four feature length films.

Still waiting for the release of Evangelion 3.0+1.0 Anno san.

9. Parasyte

Based off of Hitoshi Iwaaki's 1988 manga, it baffles me how Madhouse decides to produce a 24 episode anime in 2014. The anime didn't make a profit, but is a refreshing take on sci-fi and action oriented genre of anime.

8. The Heroic Legend of Arslan

The original novels were first adapted into 6 OVAs that ran from 1991-1995. It was remade into another anime series in 2015 based off a second manga series from 2013. Try and wrap your head around that timeline.
