10. The Pussycat Dolls

The Pussycat Dolls are an American burlesque group originally formed in Los Angeles in 1995.

The group popularized songs such as “Don’t Cha”, “Stickwitu” and “Buttons”.

In 2009, the Pussycat Dolls announced a minor hiatus, which eventually led to the group’s official break-up.

9. SWV

‘Sisters with Voices’ or popularly known as the SWV, are an American girl group, who were originally formed in 1990.

Started out as a gospel group, this girl group eventually made a mark in the music industry as they released a series of hits such as “Weak”, “I’m so Into You” and “You’re the One”.

The group turned their separate ways in 1998 to focus on their solo projects, but reunited in 2005.

8. Morning Musume

Morning Musume are a Japanese girl group assembled in 1997 by Tsunku.

They are hailed as one of the the most successful Japanese girl groups of all time, selling more than 18 million albums in Japan alone.

Now, the group has been trying to expand their market to the U.S, Europe and different parts of Asia.

En Vogue are an American vocal group originally formed in Oakland, California.

Originally known as The Primettes, The Supremes made it big and were featured as the premier act of the Motown Records.

1. Spice Girls

When five talented, hard-working and ambitious girls unite for a cause, it will surely have a powerful output.

The debut album ‘Spice’ was released by Virgin Records in 1996 and it produced hit singles like ‘Wannabe’, ‘Say You’ll Be There’, 2 Become 1′, ‘Mama’ and ‘Who Do You Think You Are’.

They were featured in almost every music magazine.

The girls released their second album called ‘Spice World’, which spawned hit singles such as ‘Spice Up Your Life’, ‘Stop’, ‘Too Much’ and ‘Viva Forever’.

A movie version was shown worldwide and is considered to be a cult classic today.
