Whether you’re a fan of anime or not, you’ll love Shinpu’s covers of Attack on Titan and Dragon Ball’s theme songs combining Japanese flutes, taiko, and even beatboxing.

Like this cover of the theme song from Dragon Ball.

Or their take on Attack on Titan‘s theme song.

The two members of Shinpu (written with the kanji 神風, which you might recognize as “kamikaze”) are Misugu Oshima, who plays the taiko and shinobue, a Japanese flute, and Kazunari Yamamoto, also known as MC ZU-nA, an award-winning Japanese beatboxer.

The duo released their first video on August 31. So far, they’ve covered everything from anime theme songs to tunes by T.M. Revolution, so there’s something for everyone!

The pair is just getting started, but we expect to see a lot more of them in the future!
