Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne star in the new Stephen Hawking biopic

A real-life story about the world-renowned British physicist's life and his first love is coming to theaters. The Eddie Redmayne-starring Stephen Hawking biopic "The Theory of Everything" dropped its first trailer today.

First trailer of the Working Title production,seems to focus more on Hawking's early years, tells the compelling love story between Hawking and his first wife Jane as well as his achievements in astrophysics. It also covers the time at age 21, when Hawking began struggling to overcome a potentially fatal disease that put him in a wheelchair and rendered him unable to talk, doctors told Hawking he had two years to live and would never speak again. 

"But I love him and he loves me. We're going to fight this illness together," Jane Wilde, played by Felicity Jones, says in the trailer.

The film is based on the 2007 memoir “Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen” by Jane Hawking. And the real Hawking, one of the world's most famous scientists, is now 72 years old. He and his first wife Jane had three children and divorced in 1995.

From the look of the trailer, the film shows off an impressive cast, stately photography, a rousing score, and much triumph over what could have otherwise become tragedy. Buzzed to be an Oscar contender, the drama is directed by James Marsh. Eddie Redmayne portrays Stephen, starring opposite Felicity Jones as Jane.

The film will be screened on the first weekend of Toronto Film Festival, which kicks off September 4, before it heads to the cinemas on November 7.
