Lots of people grow up idolizing comic book heroes, but hopefully the obsession ends once the person reaches adulthood.

This wasn’t quite the case, however, for one Venezuelan man, who after growing up idolizing the super-villain Red Skull, decided to take to extreme body modifications in order to completely transform himself into the comic book character.

“He has loved comic books since he was a kid and always dreamed of being Red Skull, but never got round to doing it,” friend Pablo Hernandez said.

Henry Damon, a 37-year-old father and husband, first began to alter his body by getting several sub-dermal implants on his forehead and tattooing his eyes completely black.

But he didn’t stop there. After meeting a medical school dropout, who specializes in tattooing and extreme body surgery, Damon decided to go all the way.

Emilio Gonzalez performed the next horrific step of the transformation, which was to chop off the end of Damon’s nose.

Before surgery, Gonzalez conducted several physical and psychological tests and deemed Damon sane.

“Henry aka Red Skull is a physically and intellectually healthy person,” Mr Gonzalez said.

“He’s an excellent son, husband and father, who has an extreme taste for body modification.

Most of my customers know that body modification is the last step of body art, everyone knows very well what they want and as well as Henry, many of them are waiting for me for many years to make their dreams a reality.”

After his nose was completely healed and his forehead was sufficiently bulked up, Damon then began adding red and black tattoos to his face.

What would possess someone to take such drastic measures to alter their body in such a grotesque way?

Despite passing the psychological tests in order to undergo surgery, I’m pretty sure this guy has some deep-seated issues.
