Macaulay Culkin Is Not Dead Yet
A day after rumors that Macaulay Culkin was dead spread across the Internet, the actor proved both he and his sense of humor are alive.
Speculation that the 34-year-old actor turned musician passed away began to spread after a report claimed that he was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Saturday and millions of fans were convinced the actor had died.
Fortunately it turned out to be false, and in typical Culkin fashion, he decided to have a bit of fun with it.
Culkin, known for roles in the first two “Home Alone” movies, took to his band’s Instagram page to debunk the reports and quells people's fears.
The latest pic in a series of shots posted by his rock group, The Pizza Underground, shows Culkin playing dead in the arms of his bandmate to recreate a scene from the 1989 comedy “Weekend at Bernie's.” The cult classic starred Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman as two guys who try to convince everyone their dead boss is still alive.
Another photo shows a closeup of Culkin wearing sunglasses and holding up a bottle of soda with the caption, "We're on tour you silly people.
Culkin was also the target of a death hoax in April.
