Kobe has missed more shots than any player in NBA history, and for that, we salute him.

Kobe Bryant shoots against Courtney Lee of the Memphis Grizzlies

Kobe Bryant set the NBA record for most field-goal misses in regular-season games with career miss No. 13,418 on Tuesday night.

Kobe Bryant took a fadeaway jumper over Courtney Lee in the fourth quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers' loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. It wasn't a shot that lost the game for the Lakers, nor was it a shot that had much significance in terms of the Lakers' season. But it was the shot that gave Bryant the most missed shots in NBA history, passing John Havlicek.

Bryant finished Tuesday's game with 28 points on 10 of 26 from the field, with the Lakers losing to the Grizzlies by a score of 107-102.

Those poor shooting numbers don't tell the whole story, though, because he helped the Lakers get back in the game from a 17-point deficit when he reentered in the fourth quarter.

The Lakers had already set the combined record for field-goal misses between playoffs and regular season last year. But he has to keep on shooting.

Bryant is fourth all-time in points, and his goal this season is to pass Michael Jordan, who sits at 32292. Bryant is just 433 points behind him.
