One year after Penélope Cruz heated up the cover of Esquire's "Sexiest Woman Alive" issue, the publication has crowned a new winner.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the beautiful Emilia Clarke!

The 28-year-old "Game of Thrones" actress, who was also named "Woman of the Year" by GQ earlier this year, now has earned another title to flaunt: Esquire’s “Sexiest Woman Alive.”

The magazine made the announcement on Tuesday at midnight Eastern time after teasing readers with a titillating clip featuring shots of Clarke.

In an accompanying article about the 28-year-old Briton, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, a.k.a. Khaleesi, on the HBO series "Game of Thrones," Esquire describes the "gorgeous balance of Emilia Clarke."

"She manages to bring together a number of opposites, to make them natural: sweetness and toughness, emotionalism with a kind of cold-blooded determination. Something in these contrasts explains her sex appeal, too. She can play queen and kid sister, dominatrix and pal," writes the magazine.

Honestly, are you guys surprised? We’re not.

From the second Daenerys appeared on our TV screens, we were obsessed, not only because she is the Mother of Dragons but because she is so drop-dead-gorgeous.

Anyway, the "Game Of Thrones" actress is really having a good year.
