Every $1 You Donate to Fight Ebola, Google Will Donate $2

Google has joined the fight against Ebola by contributing $2 for every dollar people donate to a slew of nonprofits such as Save the Children and the Doctors Without Borders.

As awareness for the Ebola virus is constantly growing, we’re seeing more and more companies jump on board to help with donations. 

Facebook recently started placing a big donate button on the top of your News Feed, in hopes of making it easier for people to send money for the cause. Now it’s Google’s turn.

In addition, the company is also giving $10 million to support nonprofits as they work to contain the disease. Larry Page also said the family foundation would give $15 million in a separate donation.

As of Nov. 7, Ebola had killed at least 4,950 people in the West African nations of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. The United States has experienced four confirmed cases of Ebola and one death.
