"Bearded Dame" Flaunts Her Unique Looks in A Stunning Bridal Photo Shoot
Being different isn't easy and this woman knows it all.
England-based anti-bullying activist Harnaam Kaur suffers from a condition called polycystic ovary syndrome. One of the symptoms, known as hirsutism, causes excessive hair growth on Kaur's body, including her face.
While growing up in the UK, Harnaam Kaur was teased relentlessly from nursery right through to high school for having facial hair. Kaur tried waxing, shaving and bleaching to hide the hair.
As a teenager, she became depressed, started to self-harm and even considered suicide.
But eventually she decided to rise above all the nastiness that society projected on her, and started looking for a way to love and accept herself for what she really is: a powerful female proud of her unique looks.
Known as "The Beaded Dame" on Instagram, she serves to prove there's no one definition of beauty, and that our "flaws" ought to be embraced.
Kaur recently posed for Urban Bridesmaid Photography for a series of bridal-themed shots. And the key point of her bridal looks definitely was her flowery beard.
Looking perfect doesn't mean you have to change who you are for that one special day.
