There have been quite a few anime characters who were able to leave some great impression on us.

And here we have listed the top 25 male anime characters that we have come to remember over the years.

1. Lelouch Vi Britannia (Code Geass)

Lelouch is one of the finest character we’ve ever come across.

He is smart, he is a good manipulator and an amazing planner. Lelouch was given the power of “Geass” by which he was able to control people just by looking at them in their eyes.

The way he utilized the geass says a lot about his character. He vowed to achieve a goal when he received the Geass and ended up doing so.

He had a power that could have helped him gain whatever he wanted but instead he decided to use it for the greater cause.

2. Itachi Uchiha (Naruto Shippuden)

Itachi Uchiha is easily one of the most captivating yet controversial character in anime history.

What he has done to his clan and family makes him a traitor and criminal to the eyes of a lot of people and yet you truly realize what a noble person he was when you come to know the actual motive behind his actions.

Is it humanly possible to go through what he has gone through? There are few characters that made me cry and Itachi Uchiha is obviously one of them.

Calm, intelligent and a talented shinobi, probably these three adjectives greatly sums up what Itachi is all about.

3. Kiritsugu Emiya (Fate/Zero)

Kiritsugu Emiya, cold blooded, noble, courageous and ill-fated these are some adjectives that can be used to describe Kiritsugu.

Kiritsugu was deprived from the love of his mother at a tender age. He was involved in a series of tragic incidents that includes his father and a woman who gave him shelter.

Kiritsugu was willing to kill people. If killing 5 people resulted in the saving of 50 he will do it. “You cannot save everyone” something he had to learn through sufferings and series of hardships.

Kiritsugu’s ideology and yet his realistic approach makes him an extremely humane character.

4. Roy Mustang (Fullmetal Alchemist/Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)

Roy Mustang is not the protagonist of the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise and yet he arguably is the most standout character of the series.

His dual personality is what makes him such an attractive and at the same time unique character.

He is goofy and always fools around but when it comes to achieving his goals his personality takes a 360 degree turn.

He also appears to be extremely caring to towards his close ones.

“It’s not in his nature to leave his comrades behind” “That guy is too soft this country will chew him alive” these two line from Hawkeye and Havoc is a clear indication that there is more to Mustang than what meets the eye.

5. Toua Tokuchi (One outs)

Toua Tokuchi is the very definition of badass. An insane gambler, a genius tactician, a master manipulator, an amazing pitcher and a cold hearted person has run the show single handedly.

Plot wise and animation wise one outs is nothing special. Yet one outs is one of the top tier sports anime. Why? It’s because of Tokuchi.

He does not have a geass like Lelouch or a death note like Light yet he owned all his opponents and single handedly beaten other teams using his normal human powers.

Despite being a sports anime the prime attraction of one outs was the psychological battle all because of Tokuchi.
